Rupert Sheldrake of morphogenic field fame has some interesting takes on other possible forms of consciousness, which I mostly find myself in agreement with because the only requirement would be the ability to construct a holographic Nexus able to resonate in entanglement with the Source. And there should be a lot of ways to make that happen.
